Thermostat flanges

What are they?

The flange of the thermostat These are plastic or aluminum components that protect the thermostatic valve from dirt, heat, and humidity. They are mounted between the engine and the radiator, using rubber hoses and/or pipes.

What are they for?

Attention:

Incorrect installation procedure or improper use of gaskets can cause fluid leaks and damage to the thermostat.

It is always recommended to replace the gaskets.
We recommend complete replacement of compatible coolant according to the manufacturer’s specifications to avoid blockages, corrosion and rust of the thermostat.
Make sure that the thermostat you install operates within the temperature range specified by the manufacturer.
It is advisable to check and, if necessary, replace worn water hoses/pipes.
